Pilates Courses September 2022

Pilates Courses September 2022

I wonder how many of us are feeling a little sluggish after a summer of heat, when perhaps we didn’t move our bodies enough?  I’m certainly feeling that way, and am looking forward to September when we can return to some routine, move again, and progress with our Pilates practice.

We are now taking bookings for the Autumn term, and the timetable link may be found below.

Pilates Timetable Sep-Dec 2022

The classes are open for bookings from people who have been attending that class last term until Friday 19th August, after which we open for bookings from anyone.

We are excited to introduce a new teacher to our team:  Jake Maude is an experienced physiotherapist who joined Viney Hall in October 2021 and has been training to teach Pilates, already using it with his patients, and will be starting to teach classes in September.  He’s loving it already! So, if you fancy taking up Pilates in September, there’s a course beginning Wednesday 14th September at 6pm.

All our classes are mixed ages, men and women, but we hope that having a young male teacher may encourage more men to take up this amazing exercise!

We continue to offer classes on Zoom for those who prefer this, as well as studio classes of 10, and one smaller class of 8 people.

The Reformer machines continue to be extremely popular for those who want to challenge themselves, and these classes of 4 participants are available at different levels.  We haven’t scheduled a beginners class, but will do so if there is interest – just let us know.

The big equipment classes are run as circuits for groups of four, again offering more challenge for those with experience.  The machines include Reformer, Cadillac, Split-pedal Chair and Arc Barrel.

Veronica is running more Self Myofascial Release (SMFR) classes.  These were new last term and fantastically popular.  Learn how to treat yourself and release tight tissues and move better.  Wonderful combined with Pilates practice!

All Pilates beginners require a one-to-one session prior to starting.

Small groups or individuals are encouraged to talk to us about any specific requirements.  As ever, we listen to our clients and endeavour to meet your needs.

If you’re not sure which class is best for you, give us a ring.

We look forward to seeing old and new faces in September!
